Return Policy

While Strategic Systems cannot guarantee that every product we ship arrives in perfect condition, we can make sure that problems are handled quickly and painlessly.

In most cases, warranty situations are handled by the manufacturer. Strategic Systems provides no warranty other than the warranty offered by the manufacturer of the product.

RMA Policy and Requirements | General

  • A Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number is required for ALL returns.
  • An RMA number must be received within 20 days of the invoice date.
  • An RMA number is valid for 15 days after the date of issue.
  • Strategic Systems & Technology does not accept returns of print heads, bar code media (labels and ribbon), software or service contracts.
  • The customer must notify Strategic Systems & Technology of improperly shipped product within 7 days of the invoice date.
  • The customer is responsible for freight when returning products.
  • The customer is ultimately responsible for the condition of the returned product.
  • RMA product will be returned to customer under the following circumstances:
    • If a product is returned missing any components sent with the original order.
    • If the condition of the returned product is in any way misrepresented.
    • If the product box is not clean and undamaged, with no marks of any kind. This includes writing, stamps or shipping labels (i.e. written RMA numbers). Do not write on the original product box!
    • If the product(s) are not double boxed.
    • If the received product is damaged in any way.
    • If there is not a valid and visible RMA number indicated.
    • If a product returned on a DOA is tested as full functioning product.
    • If product is received over 15 days after the date the RMA number is issued.

RMA Policy and Requirements | Non-DOA

  • No open box returns for non-DOA products are allowed.
  • Product box must be clean and undamaged, with no marks of any kind. This includes writing, stamps or shipping labels (i.e. written RMA numbers).
  • All products must be double boxed.
  • Original manufacturer's packaging, both inside and outside must be used.
  • Returns must be complete with all manuals, cables, warranty cards, static bags, etc., just as the customer received them.
  • Customers have 15 days from date of invoice to request a non-DOA return.
  • The RMA # issued is valid for 15 days from issue date.
  • There will be a restocking fee on returns resulting from customer error such as a ordering an incorrect product. Non-DOA configured product may not be returned.
  • For customers on credit terms, credit will be applied to your account less freight and a possible restock fee when the product is received by Strategic Systems & Technology.
  • For customers paying C.O.D. or by credit card, Strategic Systems & Technology will send replacement product upon receipt of returned product. If desired, Strategic Systems & Technology will send replacement product if paid for by C.O.D or by credit card, and a refund/credit can be requested from the credit department less freight and a possible restock fee when the returned product is received by Strategic Systems & Technology. The customer is responsible for freight costs when returning product.

RMA Policy and Requirements | DOA

  • If the product is tested and the problem is not duplicated, there may be a “no problem found” fee charged to the customer.
  • Products that show signs of use are not returnable to Strategic Systems & Technology as DOA.
  • Product box must be clean and undamaged, with no marks of any kind. This includes writing, stamps or shipping labels (i.e. written RMA numbers).
  • All products must be double boxed.
  • Original manufacturer's packaging, both inside and outside must be used.
  • Returns must be complete with all manuals, cables, warranty cards, static bags, etc., just as the customer received them.
  • For customers on credit terms, credit will be applied to the account less freight and a possible restock fee when the product is received by Strategic Systems & Technology. Replacement product will be sent in advance, freight free via UPS Ground.
  • For customers paying C.O.D. or by credit card, Strategic Systems & Technology will send replacement product upon receipt of returned product. If desired, Strategic Systems & Technology will send replacement product if paid for by C.O.D or by credit card, and a refund/credit can be requested from the credit department less freight and a possible restock fee when the returned product is received by Strategic Systems & Technology.

Strategic Systems reserves the right to charge a 25% restocking fee on returned products that do not comply with the above policies and procedures to cover the costs of receiving, shipping, and restocking.
