Overview
The Strategic RFID Asset Tracking System was designed to make the collection of fixed asset data faster and more reliable. The system is a comprehensive PC application which utilizes easy-to-use mobile computers to identify, manage and track an organization's valuable property.
The PC software is used by clients nationwide as a central repository for key information including purchase history, warranty and lease information, IT related data and maintenance and audit history. Maintaining accurate information helps to increase accountability and gives managers better visibility into asset utilization. From an accounting perspective, the depreciation features of the system allow users to easily calculate the current value of assets in their enterprise.
Beyond improving data accuracy and accountability, using the software can reduce the amount of effort it takes to conduct an audit inventory by over 70%, saving both time and money. Organizations including government entities, educational institutions, healthcare facilities and corporations use the inventory feature of the system to provide reports needed to comply with audit requirements. Data in the system is commonly used to maintain insurance records as well.
Whether tracking 500 or 50,000 assets, the Strategic RFID Asset Tracking System helps to streamline the process of monitoring, maintaining and managing the assets that keep an organization running.
RFID Capabilities
The Strategic RFID Asset Tracking System is an enterprise class solution offering a comprehensive asset database and a flexible mobile computing application. In addition to standard barcode reading, the mobile software provides radio frequency identification (RFID) capability which allows users to update assets in the field and perform audit inventories without the need to have line of site to the asset tag.
The mobile application will read all of the RFID asset tags in a given location and prompt the user if assets expected to be in the location were not found, if a new asset was found, or if an asset was moved from a previous location. Any data fields in the PC database can also be collected on the mobile computer. Once synced to the PC, updates are accessed by other system users.
