Barcode Printers

Barcode printers are used to create barcode labels. For label printing, print quality, size, speed, portability and durability are all important considerations when selecting barcode equipment. Both direct thermal barcode label printers and thermal transfer bar code label printers exist for barcode printing. Thermal transfer bar code printers transfer ink to the label by applying heat from the printhead to the ribbon. With direct thermal bar code printing, the bar code printer applies heat to the bar code label directly causing a chemical reaction that turns the desired barcoding print area black.
